Is this a good camera?
Im starting on some video projects, and seeing as i dont own a video camera, I began looking into this and found this camera

The Panasonic PVGS is a good camcorder but it does have some limitations for what you have said you will be using the camcorder.brbrIt does not have an external mic jack. This is important for interviews or if you are recording something that is far away more than feet. The builtin mics will not be able to provide you with acceptable audio. An external mic could be wireless or have a long cable and get the mic to the audio source but still keep the camera far away. Withough an external mic jack, you are very limited.brbrThe Sony DCRHC does not have an external mic jack, but if you get this adapter httpwww.bhphotovideo.comcproducta with it, you can attach any external mic to that camcorder.brbrNeither the GS nor the HC has manual audio controls, so loud noises will not record well. The Sony HDRHC and HC and Canon HV and HV all have external mic jacks and manual audio control. But they are probably more camera and than you want to do at the moment.brbrVideo quality is an important part but not the only important part.
