Is a nunchuck needed with wii remote?

You dont have to buy another nunchuck.brWhen you buy games for the Wii look on the back and it will show in the top right corner if it uses the nunchuck or not.brSome games require the use of the nunchuck, so it is a good idea to get another one just in case. Just depends really on the types of games youre going to be playing. If the game requires a nunchuck it wont let you play with out it.brThe nunchuck is just another small controller for movement, like in boxing so you have two hands. It can control the camera in some games.
